Cheese with holes, from semi-cooked paste of ivory color and from the eyes evenly distributed within the shape. Its flavor is delicate with notes of walnuts and hay. Aged for at least 2 months.


The pieces are cut by hand. The weight of the product can therefore vary by 10% more or less than indicated.

Occhiato Fontegidia is a cow's milk cheese reminiscent of emmentaler. The holes are in fact the characteristic of this cheese: eyes the size of a cherry that are formed, naturally, during the maturation process distributing more or less evenly within the form.

Its flavor is delicate with notes of walnuts and hay. Its appearance has a compact and dry crust.
The seasoning of at least two months,which is carried out in cells at constant temperature and humidity.
Delicate in its characteristic conformation, it needs special care in the manipulation and control of the entire production and seasoning phase.


Ingredients: pasteurized cow's milk, rennet, uniodato dietary salt.
Crust treated (non-edible) with cleriplast E172

Before shipping the product is packaged in a special cold-saving wrapping.
