Today Cantina Della Serra has about 250 members with a possibility of conferring 14000 quintals of grapes, of which 6000 of herbaceous grapes and 8000 of red grapes: nebbiolo, barbera, freisa, croatina and neretto, with a production of about 10000 hectoliters of wine of which 65% DOCG and DOC and the remaining table wines. The total vineyard area cultivated by the members is 160 hectares of which 110 are registered in the DOCG-DOC Erbaluce and Canavese vineyard register. The vineyards extend for the most part in the municipalities of serra d'Ivrea, on moraine, loose soil, with prevalent exposure to the south and west, often terraced to limit erosion and allow cultivation even on very high slopes, all ingredients suitable to obtain high quality grapes.
The company's commitment continues in the cellar where the historic building, where part of the premises houses medium and small wooden barrels for the refinement of the most valuable wines, has been flanked for years now by modern winemaking technologies with stainless steel tanks, refrigeration systems for the control of wine temperatures, the bottling line and the latest arrival of the bag packaging line in boxes.
Since 2010, a photovoltaic system has been supporting the traditional supply of electricity, testifying to the company's commitment to reducing greenhouse gases.
